*High blood pressure.
*Strokes.
*Heart disease.
*Impotence

Although mouthrinses and smokers’ toothpastes may be effective in removing stains and making your mouth feel fresher, they cannot treat the underlying damage caused by smoking.
What can you do if you are a smoker?
You have to stop smoking. Make sure you :
*Do self-examination of your mouth periodically.
*Have regular dental check-ups.
Are there any special tips to kick the habit?
It is not easy to stop the addiction. You need a strong will to kick the habit.
Some ways of quitting smoking :
*Set a date to quit and make reminder notes.
*Be confident, always think positive and tell yourself “I am not a smoker”.

Two thirds of smokers beleive they cannot give up becasue they are addicted to nicotine. Nicotine is actually no more addictive than sugar or chocolate. Smoking is an addictive habit, but this should not be confused with addiction. Alcohol is addictive, Heroin is addictive, nicotine is not addictive
Stoppping smoking is hard work if you rely on the willpower alone. However if you use the power of the imagination through hypnotherapy it is far easier than you would ever think possible to stop smoking. The key is, you must want to stop smoking. Hypnotherapy can make it almost effort free to stop.

Great informative article. My father is one of those smokers who is now a heart patient. Its really hard him to quit this habit as this habit is now addiction for him. I am searching for someone who can help him out.

Danger to environment as well. Smoking not only affects individual’s health but it also affects others health and more importantly air pollution. Daily some billions of cigarettes are burnt and the resulting smoke is polluting the fresh air along with other pollutions. So, every one should stop smoking to save our mother earth.
