Improving Eyesight Naturally: How Your Vision & Mind Are Connected
Our bodies are our temples and our minds are in charge. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “what you think about, you bring about”. Improving your eyesight naturally has a lot to do with this same theory and your memory. The easier it is to process an image, the better you will be able to recall it later. Your eyes can absorb an image much better if they are relaxed. Most eye problems and ailments are caused because of too much stress and strain on the eyes.
So how does all of this actually work? Because the eyes and mind work so closely as a team, the eyes first have to capture the image. From there it focuses on the shape, size and color of the image. The mind then interprets the information it sees in order to recall it later. Images that we see on a daily basis are much easier to interpret and remember, but new images take a bit longer.
Once the eyes really focus on an image then the mind can memorize it much better. When we look at new objects we need to be more aware of the shape, the lines, the colors, the size and anything else about it so that we can recall it much easier at a later time. If your eyes are more relaxed at the time you see the object, then your mind will process it much faster and memorize it.
When we concentrate too hard or try to focus on images that really don’t interest us, this causes unnecessary strain on the eyes which makes it much more difficult to recall later. The perfect solution would be to view the image in a very relaxed and calm manner. In order to get in a relaxed state, here is an exercise that may help you reach that goal.
Take a moment right now and just relax your body. Get all the tension out and think of happy thoughts. This helps tremendously to get you in the moment. Now, look at any object either in the room or outside and outline the edges of that object. By tracing and outlining an object like a chair or maybe a tree outside is great for the eyes because it keeps them moving. Be sure to stay relaxed and exhale by letting all the air out of your lungs until you naturally take the next break. By doing this simple exercise each day will help you see things in a much calmer state.
Nothing happens over night so with time you will start to visualize images in the mind a lot clearer and you will feel much more relaxed in the process.
