OMG i saw this on the News!! and it was like everyone was saying it was child abuse to make him cry….but i really like this commerical!

  2. indentional Says:

    I cried
    *sniff*

  3. samoanseb8 Says:

This is a superb ad…why is it controversial? because people don’t want to feel guilt, it is a most unnerving emotion. People don’t want to take responsible action because they are so self righteous, and convinced themselves that smoking is fine.

  4. radomaj Says:

samoanseb8: I don’t smoke and the child still gets on my nerves. Seen better non-smoking ads.

  5. Durdenhood2007 Says:

I don’t see this being a very effective anti-smoking rallying cry.

  6. drummaross1015 Says:

lolololol for the record i dont smoke

but who are you to judge whats fine and whats not

people that smoke know the risks involved they do it anyway its there choice

    so fucking what

let smokers smoke let non smokers not smoke why would they feel guilty about it what happened to this country i love how we judge people by there life style when its not ours and we have nothing to do with it

    fucking stupid

for the record this commercial was an epic fail with all the hype around it

  7. Raven68524 Says:

I dont see what the big deal is. Parents in this country have really gotten soft. I’m a smoker, and I have two kids. I also know better than to lose sight of my kids. And they know better than to just run off, too. And I dont even keep them on those stupid kid leashes, either.

  8. Raven68524 Says:

But yeah, back to the topic. This commercial was pretty dumb. I don’t see it as a contraversy. Now, if the kid got like, hit by a train or a car, I would probably consider that a contraversy. Funny, but a contraversy.

  9. demravager Says:

this is pretty unnerving, depending on who you are. It shows a lost child crying because he “lost” his mother. that hits home for a lot of people. i think the ones who blow this off are either too desensitized to feel the emotional impact or are just trying to hide their guilt…..or maybe they just love their cigarettes and don’t give a damn.

  10. knuckleheadninja45 Says:

I dont think that was the point of the commercial….Its saying, if a kid can get like that over losing you for like a minute, imagine when you die from smoking? Nothing about abandoning a child in a random place for a little while.

  11. knuckleheadninja45 Says:

You’re right, go kill yourselves, and leave your children alone. See ya, hope ya had a nice cough ridden, tar inhaling ride! :D No offense. Opinions are opinions.

  12. jetsfan8710 Says:

I think that out of all the commercials ever that involved with quit smoking… like the truth commercials and the NY quit smoking commercials. This one takes the cake as the best one. Now my parents are both smokers and I know how hard it can be seeing them smoke. After seeing this though they vowed they’d stop smoking. Like samoan said people do’t want to feel guilty because it is a unnerving emotion. That’s why I like thic commercial so much. It’s so powerful to get people to stop.

  13. Raven68524 Says:

Oh I totally know what it was about. I guess I strayed off topic, but that part of the commercial didn’t strike me as much as the whole losing sight of your parent did.

  14. dudekyle13x Says:

You missed the point of the video.

  15. OneOfTenVirgins Says:

I don’t think Raven68524 is off point at all! I am a parant, and the first thing I thought of was the stupid woman left the small child alone! Never! Smoke or not, NEVER! Second, the contraversy? They abused (scared) this little guy into REAL TEARS , to make a commercial!!!! That is truely sad. You can make the point without the abuse of a little 4 year old!!!

  16. OneOfTenVirgins Says:

Doesn’t anybody care for this little 4 year old in this ad? That is fear and abuse to this little guy in just making the ad! Real fear and real tears, he’s only 4, doubt a great actor as of yet! Your hate for cig smoke over rides your ’sensitivity’ for this little guy!

  17. dudekyle13x Says:

You take things too seriously. It added to the message at the end. The child is alright, the mom was there, I bet everyone around was actors and no one was going to steal the kid. It’s not the end of the world.

  18. Miigonasens Says:

The number of people abandoning there kids cause they can no longer afford to take care of them. I guess thats perfered to the rise of murder suicides because of finacial woes. This is a weird commercial during crazy times.

  19. Mokhtarhb Says:

THis is a copied Ad from a Lebanese commercial for SOS !!

    shame on you :/
