Thank you for the vid, I just recently decided to quit because of a million reasons. I used to work out and smoke also, crazy huh? I think MOST people nowadays don’t start to smoke to look cool, that’s NEVER been the reason, but alot of younger smokers and people that DO already smoke do it because of stress, or as a reward thing. Quitting is easy for someone that is “free”, but the hardest thing for me to quit was because of work.

my grandpa is 80 and hes been smoking since he was a teenager.. so I would not say ALL smokers die early… still a very bad habit though.

I think there’s a fine line between discouraging smoking, cause it’s really not a great idea, and just hating on everyone who smokes. I think it’s okay to ban smoking in public places because people who chose not to smoke shouldn’t have to breath it in. I think it’s okay to try to encourage people not to smoke or to quit.
Also, I think that smoking doesn’t define who you are, and so i support you rather than your habit.

hey great videos! i quit smoking 11 days ago and have not had a cigarette since. i smoked for 15 years. the first 4-5 days were the hardest, but i knew i was going to quit because i have been thinking about quitting for a long time. i dont have the urge to smoke but i keep thinking about having a smoke! does anyone know how long it will take to STOP thinking about having a smoke? thanks.

It’s a habit. Unfortunately, some people have sudden cravings 14 years after quitting. A large portion of people get cravings when they follow a routine, like get out of bed of a morning.. only to realise they quit smoking 4 years previously. You will be tempted to start smoking again. All you can do is get on nicotene patches and remember that there are no positives in smoking.

He is one of the very few lucky ones. And even then, think of all the money he has lost on buying cigarettes.. Money that has literally gone up in smoke.

I’m sick of listening to cronic smokers talk.. . Ahh I wanna stab them in the throat, They need to either switch to E-Cig’s or jump off a bridge because no one thinks its cool anymore.

OMG! I smoked for 25 years and just quit on may 11 of this year. This video is enough to scare the hell outta anybody that even thinks about starting up again. I am now 41 and hope I can reverse at least some of what I have already done.

  21. timboslayer Says:

Best of luck to you. I’m still a smoker. At 32 I’ve smoked heavily since I was 18. I’m here because I’m having another “crisis” and seriously thinking about packing it in (again). It’s good to hear people saying they managed to quit. Any tips? I’ve already read Alan Carr thrice. Tried will power too. Next stop: hypnosis.

  22. timboslayer Says:

    Sorry; “Allen.”

  23. Mgage1992 Says:

i quit on may 4th and I would say after about 3 weeks i was completely rid of all cravings…and trust me it is soooooooo worth it..I can’t believe how nice it is now to actually breathe fresh air again! and not to mention food tastes sooo much better!! best of luck to you and hopefully you stick with it…if you get a craving chew some gum, or chew a toothpick or something. that’s what I did and it worked for me, and I didn’t have to get the patch or any other crap that doesn’t work
