1) Some worry is useful
A certain amount of worry can be productive. For instance it makes sense to worry about your health enough to go visit the doctor if you find a lump on your breast, but it makes no sense to be worried about your health continually day in day out.
The key thing is to decide how much worry is useful for you? Decide on the limit of the amount of worry that you willing put up with and decide that any more than this is not necessary. What you will need now is find techniques that you can use to stop worry so get your life back.
2) Whats the worst that could happen?
Many of us worry in order to avoid the emotional impact of the worst thing that could happen to us. When you start to face that worst case scenario in your mind, your worry will start to fade away. So go to the deepest thing that you are afraid of in your mind and be willing to let it happen.
3) A philosophical view that helps
It’s important to remember in life that everything that happens to us does so for a reason and the reason is a positive one. This is simply a belief which you are free to adopt, or not, but ask yourself this. Why not adopt this point of view? What do you have to lose? Infact you have everything to gain. When you can see everything-even the bad stuff, happening for a good reason, you will inevitably cease some of the worry that you engage in.
