Sam O'sullivan Cardiff Kettlebell Bootcamp Owner And Cardiff Personal Trainer Explains: 3 Mistakes Many Fitness Trainers Make

Sam O’Sullivan is a Cardiff Kettlebell Bootcamp owner and personally trains cardiff residents (upto 25 at a single time). As a Cardiff personal trainer he is a South Wales personal trainer who trains clients from Abercynon to Cowbridge.

He has access to a Cardiff health club, a health club on outskirts of Newport and also run bootcamps in Cardiff, bootcamps in Abercynon and bootcamps pontypridd.

Here are 3 tips from Cardiff personal trainer, to heklp any new personal traineer in the Fitness industry.

1. Yout not busy and not doing anything about it.

Too many personal trainers are guilty of this. Yeah you know who you are. They sit around grumbling about how they don’t have enough clients, making up lame excuses when the reality is they get to get up off their ass and make something happen. Don’t sit around waiting for it to happen. Make it happen. Make an effort to talk to 10 new people every day about what you do for the next 2 weeks. This simple exercise alone will generate new leads for you. Remember everyone has a circle of influence of around 20 people that they speak to an a regular basis so 10 x 20 x 14 is 2800 people you could potentially be letting know about your services in 2 weeks.

Fill your diary up by offering free sessions to people. When your not busy get busy! This approach is powerful on many different levels. First you are showcasing your skills to new people who could decide to become a client of yours in the future, second if you work in a gym it is good for other people to see you busy training people. Someone who is interested in personal training is much more likely to want to train with the busy trainer they always see training people in the gym than the quiet one who is always sitting by the coffee machine reading the paper. People will feelm indebted, and almost feel they have to purchase sessions from you. How great is that!! Have confidence that you can help anybody achieve their fitness and body shape goals.

2. You are not asking for referrals

Most personal trainers are too worried about asking their existing clients for referrals, they think it will piss their clients off and annoy them. The fact is that your clients want to see you succeed. If you are helping them, surely they will want to help you too!!

3. Selling ‘blocks of sessions’

Too many personal trainers still run their business by selling blocks of sessions. This is bad news. The preferred method is to use a monthly EFT collection system so that your clients pay by electronic funds transfer each month directly into your account for a number of sessions per  month. This is so much better because you don’t have to keep reselling to the same person every 6 weeks. We’ve all had that awkward moment where you have to ask your client if they want to buy another 10 sessions, avoid it by using EFT.

So follow these tips from Cardiff personal traine and cardiff boot camp expert, Sam O’Sullivan and watch your personal training business explode.
