These exercises also serve as a way to allow you to take back control of your mind. The exercise where you count slowly from 1 to 21 would involve you telling yourself that any attack will not occur once you finish that count. This exercise allows you to put your foot in the sand and remain firm that you are stronger than the panic attack; you will no longer be controlled by any future attack. You take a strong stand that you will get your life back.
