my hearing aids!
just showing off my zebra hearing aids. so its come to my attention alot of people have been waching.. if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me, i have a long line of hearing loss in my family. two people in my family have the Choclear Implant. however – - – my hearing loss is due to medication i was given during Chemotherapy treatments.

Oticon made my hearing aids, they are from their “white line”.
i haven’t worn any from another comany, Oticon is supposed to be top of the line.
i didnt just decide to cover them with my hair, it just kind of happens. – - – why i did this? not too sure. i was bored and i knew alot of people think hearind aids are ugly, i wanted to show them it could be fun.

Yes, it’s true that sometimes think hearing aids are ugly – but if they could see yours, they may want to talk to you about them, and then they – hopefully – will not think they are ugly!

Do you think your hearing loss was caused by the ‘chemo’ you had?
BTW, your hearing aids look pretty neat, but I think your camera needs a bit of TLC.

i think i would have lost some hearing eventually. but i do think it caused quite a bit of it. i was fine before, for the most part that is.
i know! i’ve been trying to fix my camera, just dont know how.

Was your hearing loss caused by chemotherapy? What type of loss do you have? —- is it the high tones? also, what job do you do?

although the hearing loss runs in my family, the chemotherapy did cause it; one of the times i was in the hospital i had a bad reaction to the medicines they were giving me (alergic)
i have difficulty hearing high tones.

each time i wear my hearing aid and if normal people or hearing people see it they quickly assume im mute and give weired look as if im nothing , that common in life for us the hard of hearing or deaf,
but let them know whatever our disibality we have the right to live in this world , God has given us this life and we live it to the fullest,

Yeah, Oticon is the Gold Standard for hearing aids. Widex & Phonak are close behind.
Sure wish other hearing impaired teens would make videos like this, too.

Yeah i’ve had problems with my ears my whole life. Had to get tubes twice. One day a few years ago in grade 12 i woke up and my hearing was extremely worse, it was pretty scary. For the longest time i just put up with not being able 2 hear out of insecurity of wearing a hearing aid. I finally started wearing my a month ago and now it’s like I can hear better then normal people…I can hear when people talk but not in a quiet setting. Like an office or if it’s late at night and I’m trying to have

(cont’d) Quiet convo with somebody (before the hearing aid). Like if you whispered something to me, no way in hell I was gonna hear it lol. I used to hang out with a lot of stoners (you know how they kind of talk quiet and dead-pan) yeah they used 2 just kill me. Every time someone would say something 2 me I’d just be like “man…..what?…..put some effort into your speech”…..it’s frustrating as hell so i finally decided to get a hearing aid. NOW IM THE GO TO GUY FOR HEARING!! cya babe

I have had 3 sets of tubes and had my eardrum replaced (all of which failed) and have had major hearing loss in the left ear along with moderate hearing loss in the right ear. I have had about 30 ruptures and countless infections and have not heard normally at any time that I remember, but luckily i got a brand new Widex hearing aid! Granite everything is louder and its annoying, but its still cool not having to have people repeat themselves!

Love your hearing aids. Pretty cool. Mine are also normal colour. I’m partially deaf in my right ear and profoundly deaf in my left from birth.
