My Honey Has Hardened, What Can I Do?

When people buy honey, they usually buy it because they want a change from artificial sweeteners and this would be a good alternative.

However, what happens is they use it for a while and then they forget and their honey jar is lost and pushed back in their kitchen cabinet.

Then one day they think of using honey again, say, “I bought honey,” and look for it.

Unfortunately it has been too long and the honey has hardened and you cannot squeeze it out of the bottle or even scoop it out with a spoon. .

Well, there is a very easy solution to your problem.

If your honey has crystallized (that is what happens to honey when left for a long time).

To un-crystallized or return to its original state you need to boil some water, turn the heat off and let the honey container sit in the hot water. Loose the top of the jar.  The crystals should return to liquid.  It will be good as new, but it may take more than one try.

Don’t put it in the microwave or on the stove as the container may break or split, then you have a real mess.

Never boil Honey.  To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey.

I would advise honey to be stored at a temperature of  70°F (21°C ) to 80°F (27°C) in a dry location and away from direct sunlight. Honey tends to absorb moisture from the environment, which can lower its quality, so make sure the lid is securely tightened.

In addition, did you know that honey has potent ingredients and a natural remedy to help many ailments?

Honey is nature’s energy booster and great immunity system builder.
