Vitamin E- The Natural Healing Agent
I have found vitamin E to be a great anti-oxidant to keep in the medicine cabinet, in the kitchen or in a diaper bag for road trips. It is one of the greatest natural healing agents God ever revealed unto mankind.
Wikepedia refers to vitamin e as; “A powerful natural anti-oxidant, used in combination with vitamins A and C as a natural preservative. It slows signs of aging and the degeneration of skin cells.” and again ” Is a very potent antioxidant with anti aging properties helping to reduce sun damage to the skin”.
Lets face it, Vitamin E is an all natural skin moisturiser, helps reduce skin inflammation, increase tone, firmness, texture, circulation of the skin and by the way scarring. Allow me to share our experience with vitamin e in oil form.
It was about 2 years ago and my now 7 year old son was laying next to our dog, (7 year old maltese). The dog was startled by my sons’ hand and bit him in the face just below the left eye about an inch and a half long and it looked deep. After stopping the bleeding and calming our son down, the scar was long but not as deep as we thought it was, we immediately applied pure aloe vera, another natural healing agent, to kill germs and prevent any possible infections.
After letting the aloe vera settle in we were’nt sure what natural healing agent to apply next, so we watched how the scar was healing over the next 12 hrs making sure that no infection was present. The next morning we began to apply vitamin e oil twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening before bedtime and within 2 weeks time you could barely see where he was scarred.
It’s been 2 years now and there is no evidence that my son ever had a scar on his face. Now allow me to explain, this vitamin e oil has a dark appearance, very thick in texture and has the scent of deep wood. Vitamin e oil that is purchased in most local stores are diluted by a certain percentage and chemical base.
In addition, Vitamin E oil can be used for stretch marks, wrinkles, burns, rough dry skin, acne preventative and there may be many more topical skin conditions vitamin e oil can be utilized for. This natural healing agent can be taken internally for the purpose of protecting our cells from oxidation or cell damage.
Although I don’t know alot about the full effect that vitamin e can have on/in the human body, one thing that I do know is vitamin e was a natural healing agent that kept my son from experiencing low self esteem or having to hide his face from shame, embarassment or the fear of ridicule from others. To me that is improving the quality of life.
PS. We got rid of the dog the next day
