Hypnosis Can Help You to Fight the Flu

When you are under stress, your immune system suffers. You get run down. The first sign of trouble is anxiety. After anxiety comes depression. From there, you move to fatigue and disease. If you break this cycle, your immune system can be in a better position to fight disease and keep you in good health.

The mind and body are intimately connected. When you are stressed, your body prepares to fight or run. You can only be in this kind of position for a short time. When humans developed, the stress of defending oneself against an attack from a wild animal was short lived. All of a person’s energy was used to fight or escape. The stress of the modern day problems is long lasting and sustained stress. In time, the stress causes plaque to form in the blood vessels, and this leads to an increase in blood pressure. When the veins and arteries are narrowed with plaque, the blood is forced to flow at an increased pressure. This high blood pressure can lead to heart attack, kidney disease and or stroke.

When the body is over exhausted by stress, viruses and bacteria can take advantage of the weakened system. The immune system is unable to fight the invader and the body becomes ill

Hypnosis breaks this system by helping you to manage stress instead of stress managing you. There is no way to live without stress. Stress is a part of live. Life would be very boring if there were no stress. There are two kinds of stress. The two kinds are good stress which is wanted such as a wedding and bad stress which is unwanted such as financial stress. Both kinds require you to adjust. If you experience too many changes, you can become either physically or mentally sick. When the stress is effectively managed, you adjust to the stress more easily. You can take the changes in stride. Your ability to solve problems and to find solutions is increased when stress is managed. When stress is appropriately managed, you have a strong immune system and are happier.

Hypnosis helps you to learn stress management skills. The skills are: prioritizing, finding time to enjoy life, getting appropriate sleep, and learning to relax. Having good spiritual health helps as well. Feeling love and loving, experiencing awe and wonder, and feeling like life has meaning and purpose.

Feeling like you have choices and being empowered in your life also helps. Hypnosis helps you to feel in control of your life, to learn to relax, to enjoy life, and to prioritize. Living in the present is another important skill. This is important because now is all that you have. Tomorrow is not here, and yesterday is gone. The present is what you change now.

Learning rational coping is important. When you are anxious, you feel that it will last forever. However, there are peaks and valleys. There is a beginning and an end. If you look at a clock, you will notice that the anxiety goes away. When you practice relaxation, the relaxation replaces the anxiety. When you learn to watch the thoughts that you think, you weed out the thoughts that produce anxiety and depression and replace them with more appropriate thoughts of concern or sadness. It is the degree of emotion that makes the difference. When you are sad or concerned, you can still solve life’s problems effectively. In this way, you respond appropriately to situations. You see difficulties as challenges rather than as obstacles. You thrive in life rather than being a victim of circumstance. Your life is rich.

If you are under stress, hypnosis can help. You can improve your mental and physical health by learning skills to manage stress and to avoid sickness when stress manages you.
