Teeth Whitening Tips – Avoiding Yellow Teeth Firsthand

As far as yellowing of teeth is concerned, nobody is exempted from this kind of dilemma. Every person regardless of its race, gender and age can have this condition. Why do people have this doesn’t need a super brilliant mind to know the causes of it. All of the food and beverages we eat and drink has something in them that contribute to the accumulation of dirt and stains in our teeth. Once the stains were embedded deep into our teeth, only a reasonable kind of teeth whitening method can bring out the best solution.

Many things would be sacrificed due to this annoying situation. One of these is your smile. It is nearly impossible to smile freely realizing that you have a yellowish, instead of shiny white teeth. One of the demands of our society today is a perfect white smile and coping with this demand is unlikely to happen because of your undesirable teeth color. Undoubtedly your first option is to get rid of it, but how?

Steering Away from the Yellow Thing

Yellow foods have nothing to do with yellowish teeth but rather it is caused by many factors, factors that we are surely unaware of. The foods we eat everyday is the number one cause of teeth discoloration but there were also causes other than this. Causes that are not food-related includes too much antibiotic exposure, other chemical-related infections and traumas that causes microscopic enamel dents that eventually develop into cracks and enables food debris to seep into our “impermeable” enamel. These causes may be too hard for ordinary teeth whitening methods to handle, expert dental attention is recommended.

What Are the Primary Causes and what are the Ways to avoid them

The best way to avoid having yellowish or discolored teeth is to avoid, or lessen the source itself. Some of its primary sources include:

  • Too much and too frequent drinking of tea and coffee. This is the two most leading sources of yellowish teeth. It has a high amount of ingredients that can stain teeth. Avoid drinking these beverages or if avoidance impossible, at least lessen the quantity.
  • Frequent munching of junk foods and sweets. These foods aid in rapid multiplication of bacteria in your mouth that can cause tooth decay and eventually damaging your teeth. Before a tooth can decay, discoloration of it is likely to happen first before it finally rots. Avoid these junks at ones.
  • Stains can settle fast into our teeth when it is left dry and unwashed after eating. Brushing your teeth and drinking a lot of water after every eating is a must.
  • If brushing is impossible, chew some sugar-free chewing gums. It can substitute as a temporary cleanser. Avoid sweetened chewing gums. It is a perfect recipe for tooth decay.

For your teeth to stay healthy, it is important to brush at least twice daily and floss afterwards. Regular brushing of teeth keeps the dentist away and yellowing of teeth to happen but less likely. A healthy oral hygiene is worth a habit than to find your self sitting in a dentist’s chair undergoing teeth whitening treatment.
