Ugh I have one on my lower gum, right underneath one of my front teeth, I didn’t even know you could get one there….it hurts constantly since it rubs against the inside of my lip. HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO RELAX WHEN YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE??

Listerine = epic pain and no gain. Sorry, maybe the hydrogen peroxide but the Listerine isn’t going to do a thing for it. Well, it might set the healing process back a day or two–there is that.

I use listerine cause it kills the bacteria but in my own personal experience I don’t believe it ever sped up the healing process. It does help with the pain emmedietly after but only because you are in so much pain while you’re rinsing that when you spit it out you realize the canker has gone numb, but that numbness only lasts about an hour, and that’s only if you left the listerine on the canker sore for at least a minute. But I still recommend it at least to kill the bacteria.

i have braces and the other day i had a soccer game and during the game i got elbowed. I was bleeding a lot and now half of my upper lip has a long/big cankersore. I also have a few on my lower lip, so everytime i drink i have to drink on the side of my mouth and it kills really badly, and when i eat i have to eat on one side and that hurts just as bad maybe worse. And even when I open my mouth it hurts, so all ur cankersores are nothing compared to mine. Not fun… Not fun…

The 1st couple of days after I got elbowed I had a big left upper lip. People in school were laughing and when I talked my left part of my upper lip didnt move and it looked weird/funny. One person even took a picture of it.

also, putting a drop of toothpaste helps with the pain. I tried it, and it does hurt alot, but it numbs it for a little while. I don’t think if speeds up the healing process. I think the only cure it to wait it out :[

Ok, rinse mouth out, cool. As for the dentist, there is a fucking reason people on on youtube looking for an answer to the canker sore problem at not at their fucking dentists asking them. So the referral to that took 25 seconds was bullshit.

Filipino people got the best cure for this. it’s called “tawas” or this white crystal used as anti-perspirant (though deodorantss nowadays are liquid form and roll-on) this crystal is odorless. Of course you should buy a new one, do not use the crystal which you already used in ur armpit. it dries the canker, even if if saliva comes in contact, it is coated perfectly in the chemical level. just a few minutes and it’s ok. i assure. i heard there’s a powderized form of TAWAS
