I got a small one, It’s my first one, the doctor said I wouldn’t need Novocain if I don’t want it
I hate shots so I don’t want it

How bad will it hurt? D:

  6. MasterTaiki Says:

The more Novocain, the less pain.

  7. cherryblossem94 Says:

They just put some gell shit in my mouth and that worked great.

It will hurt, though, without it being numb.

  8. PinksterOMG Says:

Wait. What about the needle? What about the pain? When IS the pain.

  9. onegr8jumpr Says:

I got mine filled today it just feels cold you don’t even need any medication!!!

  10. LongestTiger Says:

the needle hurts just a bit, but then there’s no pain. with the gag reflex…make sure you talk with your dentist prior to the procedure to share ant concerns. I so dreaded getting my back teeth filled for that reason, but I tucked my tongue in a spot where i wouldn’t gag. that might help, but only by getting in there n talkin to ur dentist will help you.

  11. LongestTiger Says:

depends how far back in ur mouth the tooth is at. talk to your dentist about it n he/she will work with you on making you comfortable.

i just realized the tons of money there is to be made as a dentist. got me thinking of a career.

  18. knrwooo Says:

dont worry. i have had a filling before and i have to have one today. the injection really doesnt hurt much at all and believe me im terrified of needles LOL x

  19. xbutterfly1986x Says:

    blue spots?

  20. xbutterfly1986x Says:

it could resemble decay or a cavity. A dentist will know for sure by ordering x-rays and going into the mouth with an explorer to check for stickiness on the tooth surface. Freezing is only necessary if the doctor believes it is going to cause trauma to tissues. The injection feels like a pinprick…if you are nervous ask the dental assistant questions. They may administer laughing gas to ease off the nervousness and anxiety about the procedure. Call your dentist and make an appointment.

ugh got my cavity feeling yesterday i felt like they put a needle and injected to my mouth or something cuz my mouth went to numb and it felt painful and then they put the stupid feeling 15 minutes later and drilled into my mouth ugh

  22. ForgeOfIntelligence Says:

A filling *from a patients perspective*
    1) They had a look and cleaned out the cavity. Explaining what they would do.
    2) They injected me with a needle, although it looks evil and like it’s going to hurt, you feel like basically you’ve just had a little pinch.
    3) After 5-0 minutes they called me back in and drilled the cavity down, filled it with a liquid, shun a UV light for a few seconds, all done.
I’ve had a lower filling before, and they’re the ones that give the most numb. Painless.

  23. btsax2 Says:

my cavity looks nothing like that. my teeth are really weak no matter how much i brush my teeth or how much milk i drink(i drink at least a gallon every 3 to 7 days. my dentist’s instrument barely penetrated my tooth and he said i have a cavity. i have to get a filling in a month.( hopefully it won’t affect my saxaphone playing or i’ll be mad)

  24. Nikela1986 Says:

Do they cover your eyes while during the pacedure?

  25. ForgeOfIntelligence Says:

no, you don’t see anything but the tools
