We need to keep the blood vessels supplied with oxygen as they will be irrigating our skin, especially the second layer, known as the dermis.

Exercise in any shape or form is the best way to do that. Whether it is walking, Pilates or skiing, we need to do this on a regular basis.

The second way on how to prevent wrinkles is to avoid smoking and also second hand smoke. Why? First, smoke contains about 4,000 chemicals, some of them which will cause cancer. Apart from damaging our internal organs by affecting the oxygen distribution to all our body, including our skin, the chemicals are going to start to cause wrinkles. The oxidation caused by these chemicals is going to yellow the skin, create more free radicals and deplete levels of hydration. I bet you cannot show me one smoker who has great looking skin!
Water and green tea
Somebody once remarked that sugar, alcohol and processed foods are the best way to get lots of wrinkles on your skin. So, before you we go off to that fast food chain, we might want to think again. Basically the third way on how to prevent wrinkles is to favour fresh vegetables and other foods rich in antioxidants. Drinking water or better still, green tea, like the Japanese do, will help us to fight wrinkles.
